The intensity of ultrasonic cavitation depends on several factors, including the acoustic parameters, the physical and chemical properties of the cleaning fluid, and the environmental conditions. To achieve an optimal cleaning effect, it's crucial to select the right acoustic parameters and cleaning fluid.
Ultrasonic cavitation occurs when the alternating sound pressure in the cleaning liquid creates negative pressure. This happens when the amplitude of the sound pressure surpasses the static pressure of the liquid. For cavitation to occur, the negative pressure must exceed the cohesive strength of the liquid. The minimum sound intensity or sound pressure amplitude required to generate cavitation in a liquid is called the cavitation threshold.
Different liquids have different cavitation thresholds. For cavitation to occur in the cleaning tank, the sound intensity must exceed this threshold. Only then will the ultrasonic waves produce the desired cavitation for cleaning.
How to detect the cavitation strength of ultrasonic cleaning machine ?
The ultrasonic power measuring instrument utilizes the positive piezoelectric characteristic of piezoelectric ceramics, known as the piezoelectric effect. This means that when a force is applied to the ceramics, they convert the mechanical force into an electrical signal. Under the same conditions, the stronger the applied force, the higher the resulting voltage. If the magnitude of the force varies over time, the piezoelectric ceramics will generate an AC voltage signal with a frequency corresponding to the force changes.
However, due to cavitation and other disturbances, the actual voltage waveform is not a single, pure wave. Instead, it is a superposition of a primary wave (major wave) and several secondary waves. This allows for more accurate monitoring and analysis of ultrasonic cleaning processes.
